Meet Jennifer Mercier

Thank you for your interest in my practice.

I am deeply committed to supporting women facing fertility challenges, pelvic discomfort, and overall well-being, as well as offering newborn/infant craniosacral balancing.

My journey began during my undergraduate studies at Trinity College, where I was preparing for medical school when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. This personal experience led me to pursue training in massage therapy at the Chicago School of Massage Therapy. However, before attending massage therapy school, I worked as a clinician at the Center for Human Reproduction in the early 90s, where I witnessed firsthand the emotional and physical toll fertility treatments take on women and couples. In my role in Reproductive Endocrinology, I performed semen analysis, IUI, Pap smears, endometrial biopsies, IVF cycle monitoring (from egg retrieval to embryo transfer), assisted in HSN/HSG examinations, and provided early pregnancy monitoring. This experience inspired me to seek alternative, gentler solutions to support healing.

Choosing to pursue a different path rather than allopathic medicine, I trained as a midwife from 1998 to 2001. During this time, I studied in diverse settings, including the Miami Beach Maternity Center in Miami, Florida; Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica; The Farm in Summertown, Tennessee; and Casa De Nacimiento Birth Center in El Paso, Texas. Over the course of 15 years, I cared for women and their babies with empathy, respect, and a deep appreciation for the bonds we shared.

I further expanded my knowledge by completing training as a Classical Naturopathic Physician at Central States College of Health Sciences. My studies focused on traditional Naturopathic philosophy and were enriched by additional training in Naturopathic Gynecology, Physical Manipulation, and Functional Endocrinology.

To deepen my expertise, I pursued a PhD program at Great Lakes College, exploring the impact of hormones, environmental toxins, and pharmaceuticals on the body.

My practice is centered around compassion, faith, and a commitment to healing. I operate on a fee-for-service basis and accept flex spending and health savings accounts. While I do not accept insurance, I provide referrals to trusted local Physicians and Midwives for gynecological and obstetric care.
